Silad, vegetable fibre pom-pom. This silad was made by the Filipino healer Sario Langi's wife, Pina. It is made from Mangrove Fan Palm (Licuala spinosa) leaves that have been dried and folded. The silad are used in healing rituals aimed at returning to patients their own spirit, that may have been lost or displaced by malevolent spirits called diwata. The silad was made in January 2014. Philippines.
