'Ta'ai Shen, God of Wealth'

Carved wooden figure of the Military God of Wealth (wu cai shen), who oversees the gaining and distribution of wealth. The figure is depicted with long beard and bulging eyes, dressed in full armour; left hand holding a kidney-shape ingot and right hand holding a weapon (missing) raised above his head; right foot rests on head of a tiger and left foot (broken off) rests on a phoenix's head. Painted with red and gold paint.
