Foreshaft, likely of small spear. One end sawn off, one end flared with a recess lined with black gum: small signs of damage indicate point of spear has come out of this end. Whole is covered in a reddish pigment, with three bands of black: white dots between two bands in centre, and larger area of white dots towards flared end.

All painted detail has faded, with chips in red pigment and wood itself at sawn-off end. Sparkles can be discerned, possibly a mineral-based pigment.
