Stone-bladed axe, roughly flaked pebble or stone fragment, possibly quartzite, set in a pair on a short wooden shaft, one stone acting as a chopping tool, the other as a hammer (or possibly as a counterbalance). The stones are held in position by a hard, dark gum which is plastered all round them.13" long.
