A long, narrow bark cloth, or tapa. The patterning has been stencilled onto the cream-coloured ground, using a black pigment. The decoration falls into two halves, separated by a central longitudinal lattice pattern. On each side are five large circular motifs, on one side separated by two smaller square/diagonal shapes and on the other by a lace-like pattern, white on black. Both sections are framed by a linked diamond border pattern, and at one longer edge are repeating thin, black and white stripes. Its use may be for clothing, perhaps a skirt.
