archway

Part of a carved wooden archway. This forms half of 4522.35, which was dismantled by conservation in order for it to go on display alongside 4522.12. This half consists of a narrow length of hardwood which has an intricatley carved border on one side containing leaves and birds. On the back 'XXIX' is marked on a piece of paper. This piece fits at the top right of the arch, with the carved section sitting in front of part 12 and completing the border.
