Wooden club from Fiji. Root stock type formed from the lower half of an uprooted sapling which has a substantial length of tap root and the base of side roots. The handle bears a tubular panel of tavatava zig zag engraving. This is Clunie type 14B. Bears the remnants of coconut fibre cordage binding on the shaft.
