On Saturday 5 July the Gardens will be accessible to Big Fish Little Fish ticket holders only. The Museum will be open as usual and entrance will be via London Road only.
Heavily barbed spear, of noko noko hardwood (Casuarina equisetifolia) of gadregadre type. It has c conical point above eight rows of barbs, each consisting of seven barbs. Although carved in one piece, each row of barbs is heavily reinforced with coconut fibre cordage binding, often elaborately woven (magi magi). Some of the coconut fibre binding on the shaft has become loose, and some has become detached.
