Carved and gilded wooden shrine figure of a figure with legs bent, the front leg with foot on the ground, the rear leg with knee on the ground and calf raised with foot extended behind, perhaps representing a dancer. The front arm is folded upwards with the elbow on the knee and hand on breast; the rear arm has hand on hip. Simply carved from a flat section of wood, the figure has flame-shaped elements wrapped around the arms and legs. Two integral pegs, painted red, protrude below to insert into support.
