Tobacco box and attached pipe container, from Japan. Tobacco box is wooden, oval-shaped, carved and decorated and has a lid. Attached by plant fibre string is a stick with carved designs and a hole at one end for thrusting into the belt. Unlike other pipe containers this example is a complete piece of wood and has no carvings or holdings for the pipe.
