Wooden constable's truncheon with slightly convex ringed grip and knob, the shaft tapering outwards towards the end, which is rounded off. Unpainted but stamped 'MP'. Accompanying old exhibition label, cream with blue and red borders, has black typed text: 'Constable's staff. Wood, plain. Stamped with crown, MP (Metropolitan Police) , special constable. L.18 ins.'
