One newspaper advert about the Horniman Museum’s free of charge open days, namely every Wednesday and Saturday from 2 pm to 9 pm. The advert also states that no cards of admission would be required on these days, and that no children would be admitted unless accompanied by adults. The new Zoological Saloon, “Birds, Beasts and Fishes”, had been now opened to the public.

The database sometimes uses language taken from historical documents to help research, which may now appear outdated and even offensive. The database also includes information on objects that are considered secret or sacred by some communities.
