bow (weapons: missiles & projectors)

Composite bow, strong reflex curve. Bow made of wood painted with thick red paint which is flaking off in places. Parts of the bow are covered in strips of plant material or hide, and then lacquered. Both tips of the bow have inscriptions on them in black ink.
Label: Label attached to the object reads "No. 11 C17 Lahore. Inscriptions both tips? Horniman Museum Survey Nov. 1969 Indian No.11".
