English system. Serial number 411 (bellows and end) 412 (pan), 1845. Oval scalloped paper label: 'George Case, Manufacturer and Professor of the Concertina, 32 New Bond St, (late Joseph Scates) London.' 7.25" diameter rosewood ends, simple fretwork, pine backing, flat. 48 keys: 24 each side, black accidentals, stamped and bushed. Later crude straps with small nickel screws. Five-fold green leather bellows with green and gold papers, reinforcement on lower fold. Round-end brass reed with large pine baffles mounted on bolts on underside of pans.
