Treble tenor aeola. English system. Serial number 30997. Scalloped engraved metal label, inset to chrome plated ends: 'C. Wheatstone & Co. Inventors, Patentees & Manufacturers, Concertinas and Aeolas, London.' Number '30997' is inset into left-hand end. 7.25" diameter octagonal raised chrome plated ends, inset to ebony end frames. 64 domed metal keys: 32 each side, plus 1 air lever. Later plastic straps with chromed screws. Six-fold black leather bellows, later replacements by H Crabb and Son. Round-end brass reed frames, steel tongues. Previously owned by Mr Gordon Cutty of 13 Sharon Avenue, Kelloe, Co. Durham (label on case).
