Shale whistle, shaped like a policeman's whistle. Handmade by a workman. Acquired from Philip Bate in 1953.

This whistle was carved from a single piece of unfired brick by a foreman at the Seaton Brick and Tile Company in Strathbathie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
