Taxidermy case of two adult male and two adult female European Goldfinch. According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 April 1927, 'Top left (no 1): adult male, winter plumage, 1880; top middle (no 2): adult male, winter plumage, 1884, bottom middle (no 3): adult female, winter plumage, 1883; bottom right (no 4): adult female; winter plumage; 1884. All shot by me in the neighbourhood of Christchurch. Sexes alike; summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
