Taxidermy case of adult male and adult female Eurasian Bittern. According to Edward Hart, writing on 23 April 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult male. Shot by T. M. Pike at Westport, Wareham, January 4th 1875, and given to me by him; right (no 2): adult female. Shot by Col. Parsons at Tuckton Creek, River Stour, Christchurch, December 20th 1889. Sexes alike; summer and winter plumage the same. Mounted by me'.
