Taxidermy case of adult male and adult female Sandwich Tern. According to Edward Hart, writing on 9 May 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult female, winter plumage, 13th April 1872; right (no 2): adult male; winter plumage, 13th April 1872. Shot by me in Christchurch Bay. Sexes alike, summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
