Taxidermy case of four male, two female and one young Little Tern (two adults missing). According ot Edward Hart, writing on 25 January 1927, '(No 1): adult male, summer plumage; (no 2): adult male, summer plumage; (no 3): young bird, shot by me on September 26th 1883, winter plumage; (no 4): adult male, summer plumage; (no 5): adult female, summer plumage; (no 6): adult male, summer plumage; (no 7): adult female, summer plumage. Nos 1,2,4,5,6 and 7 shot by me on the Sand Dunes, Mudeford, Christchurch during the years 1875, 1879 and 1883. Two eggs were found on the beach, Mudeford by J. Cliff, July 1902. Sexes alike, summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
