Taxidermy case of adult male and adult female Common Gull. According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 May 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult female, 1866, winter plumage; right (no 2): 1866, winter plumage. Shot by me in Christchurch Bay. Sexes alike, summer and winter plumage differ'.
