Taxidermy case of three adult male and two adult female Coal Tit (winter scene). According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 April 1927, 'Bottom left (no 1): adult female; top left (no 2): adult female; top middle (no 3): adult male; middle right (no 4): adult male; bottom middle (no 5): adult male. Obtained by me in my garden 1861 and 1879. Sexes differ. Male: summer and winter plumage differ; female: summer and winter plumage the same. Mounted by me'.
