Taxidermy case of adult male, adult female, pied and yellow variety male Redwing. According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 April 1927, 'Bottom left (no 1): pied variety, male, January 8th 1886; top left (no 2): adult male, January 1881; middle right (no 3): adult female, January 1881; bottom right (no 4): yellow variety, male, January 8th 1873. No.1 was shot by me in Creedy Gardens, Christchurch. Nos. 2, 3 and 4 were shot by me at Wick Farm, Christchurch. Sexes alike; summer and winter plumage differ'.
