Long rectangular cream barkcloth with painted decoration in black and brown. The textile is seemingly part of a larger piece, as the patterns have been cut at one shorter end. The decoration consists of 2 differently patterned areas. The shorter one consists of wide black rubbed stripes separated by narrower brown stripes consisting of brown grids. After approximately 1/3 this pattern is divided by a vertical band which contains 5 floral motifs. The larger part of the textile is divided horizontally into 2 sections. Vertical dividing lines create a pattern of smaller rectangular areas. These are patterned alternatingly with grouped sets of finely drawn lines or solidly coloured with lighter grouped stripes. The longer edges have been cut to create fringing.
