Long rectangular cream barkcloth with painted decoration in black and brown. The decoration consists of 3 differently patterned areas. The middle one consists of short narrow brown stripes consisting of diagonals either side of a solid line (fishbone pattern?) against a black ground. At either end is a vertical band which contains 3 floral/star-shaped motifs. The largest part at both ends of the textile are divided horizontally into 2 sections. Vertical dividing lines create a pattern of smaller rectangular areas. These are patterned alternatingly with grouped sets of finely drawn lines or solidly coloured with lighter grouped stripes.
