Silver, two-tined hairpin decorated on top with elaborate layered design inlaid with kingfisher feather and other precious stones. At the bottom are two layers of leaflike designs, two of them tied with pearls by wire. The top three layers represent a flower vase holding a peach in filigree inlaid with jade at centre and flanked by two coral sticks, between the vase and the peach is a 'shou' character, meaning longevity. The vase is inlaid with ruby.
