Part of a dance costume, probably a sash or belt. A band wide at one end where it ends in a point, and narrowing towards the other end, rather the front of a man's tie. Made of red silk, decorated with sequins and metal thread in patterns including circles and V shapes which echo the shape at the pointed end. On each side there are twisted cords. 1025mm long, excluding the tassels at the narrow end. Accompanying label reads: 'part of a dance costume' and on the reverse is: 'I/ll'.
