Headdress of cassowary feathers secured together in a row by a rafting technique of knots in bark fibre string. Between the two rows of knots a short length of the quills is painted with a white chalky paint and the knots themselves are painted red. In the centre of the headdress are small white Cassowary feathers in a plume, the cords for tying on incorporate some red western trade fabric.
