Puppet of a man wearing a scholar hat made of painted paper-maché, and a long red satin robe decorated with couched embroidery of a dragon and carp in mulit-coloured silk thread and gold thread. A circular belt, lined with printed cotton, hangs loosely at the waist. He is also depicted wearing a pair of boots with upturned toes made in carved wood and painted black. His head and hands are made of painted clay, the torso and limbs shaped with wood.
