mask (dance & live theatre)

Wooden head mask, human head with elongated neck and horned head-dress. The head is mounted on hollow cone stand, this hollow was used for wearing on top of the head.
Erupting from the forehead of the mask is a pole, this acts as a mount for a figure of a bird, it is mounted in such a way as to turn freely on this protrusion. The face is decorated with geometric grids of diamond shapes as well as line motifs all painted in various yellow ochre shades.
