One of a 32 piece set of wooden chess pieces from The Maldives. One of a pair, made of turned wood, natural colour and varnished. It is short, has a round base and a narrow mid-section, with a round top. Engraved using a thin circular banding at three points on the object, at the top and base of the stem and around the top. Each engraving is painted red.
