The Horniman Museum will be closed from 24-26 December. The Horniman Gardens will be closed 25 December only.
Bellows made of hide, wood and iron, consisting of a square bag of hide panels sewn together. There are two strips of bamboo along the opening, each pierced - one with a hide thong, the other with nylon cord and a piece of string attached. The bag has holes and a detached patch. A tube of sheet iron protrudes from one corner and is tied to the bag with string.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
