Lantern slide depicting Chion-in temple in Kyoto. The bronze bell of Chion-in temple is famous for its size. The bell is rung only on New Year's Eve and on the memorial day for Honen, who founded the Pure Land sect , and whose disciple, Genchi, built the temple in 1234. The man below the bell is selling pictures.
