F key engages with a white metal rod through butt, adjustable at one end by knurled nut Three joints present, wing joint missing. String lapped tenons. End of butt joint plugged with cork. Sling hook attached to butt joint upper ferrule. Paper label adhered to bell has in D.J. Blaikley's hand: 92 BASSOON/MAPLEWOOD/12 BRASS KEYS/PROBABLY 19C.
