We strongly advise visitors to book tickets in advance to avoid queuing, due to reduced till points at the Ticket Desk. Some paths are closed around the entrance while we do improvement works in the Gardens. Please follow signs on site.
Woman's phasin, Lawa, (minority people who inhabited the area before the Tai), Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, cotton. Indigo-dyed, handspun and handwoven with stripes of warp ikat. Made of two pieces sewn together by hand at the selvedge which runs across the middle of the skirt horizontally.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
