Woman's 'halo' hat. Woman's hat ('halo' hat) worn on the back of the head. A small frame made of metal and card (?) lined with white fabric fits over a bun at the top of the woman's head. From either side of this this hang two black ribbons for tying under the woman's chin. Behind these are two black ribbons which hang in loops and are attached to the back of the hat. Behind these are two further black ribbons, which hang from the back. Above the frame is a semi-circular structure of pleated black fabric with wire around the circumference. At the back this is decorated with gold thread.
