Cornemuse, bagpipe, with the chanter and treble drone contained in a single stock stamped 'VIGNAR' and a separate bass drone. '3949' is painted on the instrument. The bass drone and tenor drones have reeds of elder.

The bagpipe might have been purchased in Normandy but made elsewhere in France. It has some similarities with instruments made in central France (Berry, Bourbonnais, Morvan, Limousin, Auvergne).
