The sides of the cap are embroidered with moth and flower designs. The crown is formed by four segments sewn together with metal thread with ribbons along the scalloped edge. Two segments feature embroidered insects including a butterfly and floral sprays against indigo satin ground. The other two segments have embroidered flower designs on a cream patterned silk ground. There are red and green tassels on both sides. Two blue streamers of pale blue silk at back, a red cotton tie fastens to a loop sewn on the other side to secure the hat.
