Costrel (pilgrim flask). Shape of elongated barrel. The ends held together by 2 wide hoops and 9 narrow, arched hoops. In the centre the opening is formed by a special, protuberant and oblong stave. Patterns of geometrical designs are to be found at both ends, the middle, around the opening and on the end hoops. (Maple wood). Diameter 225mm.
