Unusual Maori cloak containing no phormium tenax fibres at all. The basic fabric of the cloak, although constructed using the same structural technique as a traditional cloak is made entirely from lambs' wool. The structure of the tags which are two ply and in pairs is basically of a korowai cloak although the blue and green outer fringe shows a greater affinity with carpet making or knitting techniques than normal paheke embroidery. The cloak is over decorated with rows of kiwi feathers and represents a hybrid example of several styles rendered in unusual materials.
