mask (dance & live theatre)

Papier-mâché mask in the shape of an open-mouthed feline, edged with cloth on the interior, and ears of metal alloy. It is covered overall with yellow pigment, and highlighted with red, white, and black. The teeth inside the mouth are real animal teeth. Tufts of porcupine quill are used as bristles around the eyes and mouth. Vegetable fibre suspension cords are attached at the back.

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
