Small circular leather purse or needle container of the 'tray' type that opens out from its cover, with a tab handle. It is fastened by a green cord knotted through two coral beads and a white metal ornament depicting the vase of long life in openwork. Around the handle are bound three strips of silk: red, pink and cream. An accompanying label reads 'Ladak. Thibet'.
