Decorative silver chain, known as a 'rantai', meaning 'chain' in Malay. It is made up of identical pieces: four soldered circular pieces linked to each other. The chain is broken. It has a simple clasp. A chain such as this was worn by a woman during a wedding or other ritual ceremonies and on other festive occasions and for ordinary use. It was often used together with a hair comb, or 'sisir rambut'.
