Torch (Bedamuni: kamaari lalu). A torch used at initiation ceremonies for general lighting and for the ‘closing of the door’ ceremony (kamaariga faha). Leaves are put together with little sticks and then filled with broken pieces of kamaari (Canarium acutifolium) resin. The torch is then bound together with putufi éfé (a kind of liana). This example was made by Totaba.
