A long, 'L' shaped multi-coloured side piece, part of a door surround, or 'toran'. The red ground textile is densely embroidered in chain stitch with a repeating stylized flower motif (12 in total). This embroidery is framed with several border patterns of different widths, including a row of round mirrors. Five pendant cloth triangles - in pink, green and orange - are attached to the shorter side. A black cotton strip of fabric is sewn all round the edge. There are yellow and green plyed loops and small pieces of fabric resembling pom poms sewn to the outer edges.
