plectrum; nahun

Nahun (literally 'nail'), plectrum of brass for tanbur lute. The plectrum is fitted over the index finger of the right hand.

One of the contexts in which the tanbur is sometimes used is to accompany spiritual songs at the morning banquet (âsh) of weddings in Tashkent and the Fergana valley in Uzbekistan.
