A woman's hat 'doppa', pillbox shape of plush yellow fabric 'dokherba bakhma' and brightly coloured, embroidered trim with a lime green tassel attached at the back. At the time it was collected (1999) this type of hat was considered suitable for a woman to wear up to the age of around 45, provided that she was not a widow. The hat is called a 'tosh' i.e. 'stone' doppa, as it cannot be folded.
