Circular cane basket and lid formed by weaving horizontal lengths of cane around ribs which cross at the base of the basket in two bundles of eight strands. Curved handle over the top formed of cane wrapped in leaf strips, inserted at each end through the horizontal bands forming the basket. The circular lid has dark bamboo around the rim and forming a cross on the top of the lid. There are diamond patterns decorating the basket and lid formed from brown, red and black dyes.
