Semi-formal official's summer hat, ji-guan, topped with an opaque white glass insignia jewel indicating that it is for an official of the sixth rank. The jewel is mounted on a gilt metal base with an engraved 'shou' character, symbol of longevity. The conical hat is made of bamboo mesh covered with white silk gauze edged with two brocade bands, and fitted with a circular band inside. The crown is covered with red silk floss extending from the flat brocade top. The hat is lined in red gauze, and has two blue strips to tie around the neck. To be worn with an auspicious robe, or ji-fu.
