The ownership of this object was transferred to Nigeria’s National Commission for Museums and Monuments (NCMM) in November 2022.
An amulet or charm (Emwiegbe). Benin city. It is made up of an oval stone, encased in a sheet of metal (brass). There are two metal loops on either side to enable it to be strung and worn on the body. Made by Igun Eronmwon guildmembers (bronze and brass casters).
